Natalie Rose Richardson is a writer from Oak Park, Illinois. Her debut novel, This is an Actual Tragedy, is forthcoming from Knopf (US), Borough Press (UK), and Blessing (Germany). She's received degrees from the University of Chicago (BA), Northwestern University (MA + MFA, poetry), and the NYU Creative Writing Program (MFA, fiction). Her poetry and prose has appeared in Poetry Magazine, Academy of American Poets, LitHub, Narrative, Orion Magazine, North American Review, The Adroit Journal, The Cincinnati Review, Arts & Letters, Emergence Magazine, and others, along with several anthologies, including The Golden Shovel Anthology. She's received awards, residencies or fellowships from the Poetry Society of America, The Poetry Foundation, Tin House, The Newberry Library, The Luminarts Foundation, and others. Her work has featured at BBC Radio London, WBEZ Chicago, The British Royal Library, The Art Institute of Chicago and the Poetry Foundation.
